Lower Saucon Township Police say a Hellertown teen will be charged with terroristic threats because of an incident that allegedly occurred in the township’s Steel City section over the weekend.

According to a post published on the LSTPD’s Crimewatch website Monday, on Saturday, Sept. 29 at 6:42 p.m. police were dispatched to the 4200 block of Mathews Avenue at Steel City Park “for a report of a male in a vehicle that pointed a gun at another person.”

Police said that at the time “two loud pops” were also heard.

By the time officers arrived at the park the suspect and vehicle were nowhere to be found, but they were able to obtain the car’s registration “and the 16-year-old male driver from Hellertown was identified,” police said.
