Competitive Flag Division

The Panthers won this game with strong play on both sides of the ball. They played stout defense led by Zachary Henn and his three stops, with Taylor Rohn and Mason Eisenbraum adding several stops including two for loss. The offense was sparked again by Taylor Rohn who gained over 100 yards on the ground with two touchdowns. Xander Farkas and Ricky Favere also contributed touchdowns en route to a 25-0 final score. After the game Coach Dan credited the kids with “coming along nicely. They played their hearts out and played well as a team,” he said, adding that “the sky is the limit for this group.”

100 Pound Division

The wet weather contributed to a slow start for this Panther team, who found themselves trailing 6-0 going into halftime. But the offense found its groove in the second half, led by big runs from Braden Rohn, Noah Hubert and Grayson Schmell. They scored three second-half touchdowns; two by Noah Hubert, including a diving effort to seal the game late, and one by Grayson Schmell, while the team’s defense led by Liam Stoneback and Christian Walser stood tall and did not allow the Green Knights another point. When asked about the halftime adjustments, the coach immediately addressed the offensive line and said they switched to a power running game to allow the line to control the game, and that their effort was the key to their 20-6 victory.

The Panthers dominated this game from start to finish, with scores on their first two possessions plus an early interception–all by Constantine Donahue. Landon Beckowski and Jack Robertson added a TD a piece while the swarming defense created turnovers, adding several sacks and tackles for loss. The defense was led by Cole Hubert who had five tackles. Connor Limpar and Gunnar Rudolph added three tackles each while Ryan Keeney scooped up a fumble recovery to ensure the shutout. The final score was 29-0. Coach Brown said after the game that “the entire team played very well,” and Coach Schneider added that this was their second straight shutout and that he was proud of the effort from his defense.
