Register for Run Brave for Brews 5K, Help Local Families

Register now for the 2nd annual ‘Run Brave for Brews 5K’ Sunday, Nov. 4 on the Saucon Rail Trail in Hellertown. The run/walk will benefit the COBCares, which provides financial aid to area residents in need.

Register now for the 2nd annual “Run Brave for Brews 5K” Sunday, Nov. 4 on the Saucon Rail Trail in Hellertown.

The run/walk begins and ends at Braveheart Highland Pub, 430 Main St., Helertown, near the Saucon Street trail entrance which participants will walk to for the start of the event at 11 a.m. Registration begins at 10 a.m.

The 5K will benefit the Coopersburg-based Community Outreach Benefit (COB Cares), which annually raises money for local people in need of financial assistance as a result of one or more serious health issues that have affected them.

Tickets are $30 if purchased early or $40 if purchased the day of the 5K.

The first 100 registrants will receive a free t-shirt (on a first come, first served basis) and all participants will receive a free post-run beverage back at the pub, which will donate 10 percent of dining purchases that day to COB.

In addition to purchasing tickets online, participants can also register this Monday, Oct. 22 from 6-8 pm at a Guest Bartending Event at Braveheart.
