During the first quarter of Saturday night’s District XI semifinal, the Northwestern Lehigh Tigers were faced with a 2nd & 6 from their own 28-yardline. The game was deadlocked at 7-7 and the Tigers were trying to keep the chains moving in an attempt to retake the lead.
From his defensive tackle position, Jared Harka (#61) gets upfield and penetrates the Northwestern Lehigh line of scrimmage as the Tigers test the middle of the Panther defense. When Tiger running-back Tyler Lobach (#20) passes Harka with the ball, Harka reaches around his Northwestern blocker, snags Lobach by the shirt and tosses him backward for a minimal gain. Check it out as Saucon senior Jared Harka catches a Tiger and then, with a little help from his friends, flattens him on the ground!

In recognition of this Krunch Time! award, the Culinary Experience & Catering is rewarding Jared with a $12 meal voucher to be redeemed at the next Saucon Source Post-Game Tailgate Party at the Waldheim Beethoven Club. Saturday night, the Panthers (10-2) will travel to a neutral site at Nazareth’s Andrew S. Leh Stadium and battle the Bethlehem Catholic Golden Hawks (9-3) for the PIAA District XI championship!
Great job Jared, the Source is with you!
