Expected to be bigger than ever before, this year’s Hellertown Light Up Night in Dimmick Park will be held Friday, Nov. 23 from 6 to 9 p.m. (no rain/snow date), and everyone is invited to come and celebrate the start of the holiday season in Saucon Valley.
Below is the schedule of events for the family-friendly evening, which will include cash trolley rides around town, children’s activities, complimentary cookies and hot cocoa, complimentary coupon and song books, a cash adult beverage bar, a pledge to the flag led by local Cub Scouts, dance performances by local students, caroling led by local Girl Scouts, a welcome message delivered by Hellertown Mayor David Heintzelman, the official tree-lighting, Santa’s arrival on a fire truck, pictures with Santa on the bandshell stage, music by the Saucon Valley High School Band, craft vendors, holiday movies shown on a big screen and much more.
There will also be a collection of non-perishable food items that will be donated to the local food bank at New Jerusalem Lutheran Church.
