Local vineyard Black River Farms sampled its wines at the Holiday Open House at the grist mill Friday.

It was an evening filled with food, fun, friendship and festivity at the Heller-Wagner Grist Mill Friday, where the Hellertown Historical Society hosted its annual Holiday Open House in the building’s Tavern Room.

Christmas music was provided by the duo of Norris & James and the Lehigh Valley Idols, and libations were available in the form of wine tastings by Black River Farms, a vineyard in Lower Saucon Township.

A large buffet of hors d’oeuvres, home-baked cookies and other treats was prepared by historical society volunteers and friends.

To learn more about the Hellertown Historical Society and volunteer opportunities, or how to reserve the Tavern Room for a private affair, visit their new website and like/follow them on Facebook.

Hellertown resident Kim Frain enjoys the open house.

Former Hellertown mayor Richard Fluck and his wife Jan enjoyed the Holiday Open House at the Hellertown Historical Society.
