Roy Baxter Blake Jr., 80 of Lower Saucon Township died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2019 at his residence. Arrangements are by the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., Hellertown.
Roy Baxter Blake Jr., 80 of Lower Saucon Township died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2019 at his residence. He was the husband of June Ann (Carafella) Blake. He was born in Greensboro, N.C., on July 30, 1938 to the late Roy Baxter Sr. and Mary Elizabeth (Langley) Blake. Roy earned a Master’s degree in electrical engineering from Duke University. He worked for AT&T Bell Labs in Greensboro, N.C., and Whippany, N.J., as an electrical engineer. Roy was an avid golfer.
SURVIVORS
In addition to his wife of 12 years; children: Steven Langley Blake of Cary, N.C., Elizabeth Ann Clothier (Jason) of Las Vegas, Nev.; Kathryn Diane Snow (Fred) of Sharpsburg, Ga.; brother: Leland Dale Blake of Oak Ridge, Tenn.; grandchildren: Rachel, Aaron, Jonathan, Daniel and Rylie. He was predeceased by his first wife, Jerry Dianne Roddy Blake, in 1994, and a brother, Henry Wayland Blake.
SERVICE
Family and friends are invited to call from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, 2019 at the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 326 Main St., Hellertown. The calling hour will be followed by the service at 2 p.m. Online expressions of sympathy can be recorded at www.heintzelmancares.com.
