UPDATE: The 2019 Homecoming Court has decided to take on a cause that is very dear to them: collecting donations for the American Heart Association in honor of Jeremy Kuba. Jeremy, a recent graduate of Saucon Valley High School, passed away in May. The court will be collecting donations at the Community Pep Rally on Thursday, Sept. 26 and then again at the football game on Friday, Sept. 27. Both events start at 7 p.m. Look for the court members with their collection buckets at these events to help support the heart association and to honor an amazing young man.
The waiting is over. The names of the 14 boys and girls who make up Saucon Valley High School’s 2019 Homecoming Court have been announced.
Boys: Zachary Appel, Brandon Binn, Garrett Laub, Zachary Mikuta, Monem Rizvi, Thulani Rukambe and Thomas Spirk
Girls: Abigail Altemose, Talitha Diggs, Caroline Gilbert, Alexa Guerrieri, Anna Inglis, Kiera Sager and Camryn Zavacky
The school’s fun-filled Homecoming Week is Sept. 23-27.
Highlights of the week will include the annual Community Pep Rally at 7 p.m. followed by the Community Bonfire at approximately 8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 26. The annual Homecoming football game will be played at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 27, when the Panthers (3-1) will take on the Bangor Area Slaters in Montford E. Illick Stadium.
The name of the 2019 Homecoming King will be announced at the Community Pep Rally, which is held in the High School gymnasium, and Saucon Valley’s 2019 Homecoming Queen will be crowned during halftime at the football game in the stadium.
Stay tuned for additional coverage of the 2019 Saucon Valley Homecoming, as Saucon Source will be publishing profiles of the seven couples who are in this year’s court over the next week. We’ll also be there to cover the pep rally and bonfire (weather permitting) as well as the football game.
