If you want to see Santa before Christmas, mark your calendars for the weekend of Dec. 21-22, when the Big Guy will have a packed schedule here in the Saucon Valley.

A highlight of the weekend will be Dewey Fire Company’s annual Santa Run on Sunday, Dec. 22.

Santa and his helpers will begin spreading cheer and delivering gifts to the children of Hellertown at approximately 12:30 p.m.

Parents may drop off gifts to be delivered by Santa at the Dewey Fire Company at 502 Durham St., Hellertown, at the following dates and times:

  • Wednesday, Dec. 11 from 6 to 8 p.m.
  • Sunday, Dec. 15 from 8 a.m. to noon
  • Wednesday, Dec. 18 from 6 to 8 p.m.

The Santa Run’s event page also says gifts can be delivered to the fire station Monday evenings around 6:30 p.m.

Parents are asked to bring pre-wrapped gifts that are smaller in size and have the child’s name and address clearly marked on the package.

Residents are asked to be patient and to listen for the fire engine’s sirens as Santa approaches. Santa will not travel every road, but he will deliver every gift.

The fire company also reminds residents that the Santa Run will only be delivering gifts to children within Hellertown borough limits. Lower Saucon Township residents with a Hellertown address will not be delivered to.

Lower Saucon Township residents may, however, visit Santa at Lower Saucon Fire Rescue’s “Cookies With Santa” event at Leithsville fire station, 1995 Leithsville Road, Hellertown, on Saturday, Dec. 21 from 3 to 5 p.m. Children will enjoy hot cocoa and cookies, and parents will have the opportunity to take their kids’ photos with Santa.

The following day Santa will be up early for Breakfast with Santa at the Dewey Fire Company social hall.

The breakfast is catered by Brooklyn’s Catering and will be held from 8 to 11:30 a.m.

Stop by for a delicious holiday breakfast and a chance to take a picture with Santa! Tickets–available at the door–are $8 for adults and $4 for children ages 6-12. Kids under 6 eat for free. Click here to view the menu, which is published on the Facebook event.
