With the coronavirus pandemic and economic fallout from it continuing, there remains an increased need for donations to local food banks.
Christ Lutheran Hellertown volunteers did their part to help over the weekend by hosting a drive-up food drive to benefit the food bank at New Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lower Saucon Township.
As cars pulled into the church’s driveway on Main Street Saturday, volunteers wearing masks and following other pandemic-related safety precautions unloaded the nonperishable food items members of the community had brought to donate.
