With summer right around the corner, many people are looking forward to catching up on their reading. Fortunately, a great opportunity to pick up books at bargain prices is also right around the corner at the Hellertown Area Library.

The library will host its annual book sale Saturday, June 1, which is the same day as the Hellertown-Lower Saucon Community Yard Sale.

The book sale will begin with a one-hour preview sale from 8 to 9 a.m., for which there is a $10 admission fee. The regular sale will begin at 9 a.m. and run until 2 p.m. From noon to 1 p.m. there will be a “fill a bag for $10” sale and from 1 to 2 p.m. there will be a double bag sale.

The event is sponsored by the HAL Development Committee and benefits the library.

Book donations for the sale are being accepted through May 25. Gently used adult and children’s books, including both fiction and nonfiction, as well as CDs and DVDs may be donated.

The library is located at 409 Constitution Ave., Hellertown, Pa. For more information, call 610-838-8381 or visit HellertownLibrary.org.
