With sunshine and mild temperatures, the weather couldn’t have been better for the 2024 Hellertown Halloween Parade, and thousands of area residents came out to enjoy the spooky spectacle.
Their smiles showed that the beloved event staged each year by a small but dedicated cadre of volunteers–led by parade chairman and Hellertown mayor David Heintzelman–was another winner.
On Facebook Tuesday, parade chairman and Hellertown mayor David Heintzelman thanked his team along with the sponsors who provide financial backing for the annual parade.
“Everyone has made the difference in this year’s parade,” he said. “The sponsors/contributors have been a blessing every year. … Thank you to everyone who enjoyed watching the parade, the tons of candy that were thrown and all who contributed in one way or another. This borough is the envy of many municipalities when seeing what YOU have done to make this successful. We are HELLERTOWN PROUD!”
The theme for this year’s parade was “Fall Harvest” and the grand marshal was Ron Smith, a business owner and well-known volunteer who has supported many community events in Hellertown.
