His expertise lies in national security law, international law, the Constitution and the law of war. Paradis authored the critically acclaimed book “Last Mission to Tokyo,” which explores war crimes trials in the Pacific after World War II. He previously worked for the U.S. Department of Defense, specializing in Guantanamo Bay human rights litigation and policy.
The ceremony will also feature remarks from DeSales alumni John ’81 and Carol Kukitz ’79. John Kukitz, a U.S. Army veteran and Purple Heart recipient, served in the Vietnam War. Carol Kukitz will share the story of her father, a World War II Air Force pilot.
The Dieruff High School Air Force JROTC and the John Rivers Memorial VFW Post 11322, Quakertown, will participate in the event. The ceremony is free to attend and open to all.
