2025 Primary Election: Who’s Running in Hellertown & Lower Saucon?

The Northampton County Elections Department Tuesday released its unofficial list of the petitions that have been filed by candidates planning to run in the upcoming 2025 municipal primary election, which will be held Tuesday, May 20.

According to the list, the following individuals have completed the necessary requirements to appear on the ballot in the borough of Hellertown, Lower Saucon Township and Saucon Valley School District. (Images credit: County of Northampton)

Pennsylvania has a closed primary system, meaning that only registered Democrats and Republicans can vote for candidates from their respective parties in the primary election. The winners of the primary races advance to the general election, in which anyone can vote for the candidate of their choice, regardless of party affiliation.
