Easter Egg Hunt
Families waited patiently for the blare of an airhorn, which signaled the 10 a.m. start of the Saucon Valley Easter Egg Hunt.

Nearly a thousand people participated in an ‘egg-cellent’ spring tradition in Hellertown’s Dimmick Park Saturday morning, at the annual Saucon Valley Easter Egg Hunt sponsored by the Hellertown Historical Society.

Nearly the entire park was in use during the event, which featured egg-strewn areas separated according to the age of the children who participated.

At exactly 10 a.m. the frenzied dash for the colorful plastic eggs began, and within a few minutes that part of the fun was over.

Then it was time to have pictures taken with the Easter Bunny, who sat on the park stage as nearly 100 families waited in line.

In addition to the historical society volunteers who ensured that everything ran smoothly, volunteers from Dewey Fire Co. and Lower Saucon Fire Rescue also helped by escorting the Easter Bunny to the park, where their trucks were then on display.
