Gladys I. Tierney (1938 – 2025)

Gladys I. Tierney, 86, formerly of Allentown, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 29, 2025, at Sacred Heart Senior Living, Center Valley. She was the loving wife of the late Thomas G. Tierney. Born in Allentown on Aug. 8, 1938, she was the daughter of the late William Bocherer and Irene (Borman) Peters Bocherer. Gladys dedicated her entire career to one plastic manufacturing company in Allentown, where she began working while still in high school. Through her commitment and hard work, she rose to become the head of the payroll department, retiring after many years of service. She was a proud member of Edward H. Ackerman American Legion Post 397, Hellertown.

SURVIVORS

Gladys is survived by her niece, Karen Kozak (Kevin) Lott, and several cousins. She was preceded in death by her siblings: Earl, Bobby, Billy, Clifford and Alice Kozak. Gladys and her late husband Tom shared a special bond with the Kozak-Lott family, creating cherished memories through weekly visits and holiday traditions. She will be dearly missed by all who held her in their hearts.

SERVICES

Family and friends are invited to call from 10 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 326 Main St., Hellertown.
