Hot, humid weather didn’t deter hundreds of local residents from attending Community Day in Hellertown’s Dimmick Park Saturday. The festivities included musical performances, demonstrations, costumed characters, food vendors, local businesses and organizations’ booths, giveaways, raffles, a blood drive, rescue dogs, fire department vehicles on display and much more.

The day began with a performance by the Saucon Valley High School marching band and remarks by elected and borough officials, including Mayor David Heintzelman. Also on hand were state Rep. Bob Freeman (D-136) and U.S. Rep. Ryan Mackenzie (R-15). The country rock band Reservoir Hill also performed from noon to 3 p.m. on the park stage.

See below for photos of all the fun.
