Richard Lee ‘King, Hoopie, Richie’ Adams Jr. (1967 – 2025)

Richard Lee “King, Hoopie, Richie” Adams Jr., 58, of Lower Saucon Township, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 6, 2025, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Bethlehem Campus. He was the loving husband of Kim Embley Culver, with whom he shared 12 years of marriage. Born in Sunbury on Sept. 21, 1967, Richard was the son of Gini (Inkrote) Sears of Selinsgrove and the late Richard Lee Adams Sr. Richard built a long and respected career as a Senior Financial Advisor for more than 30 years. Twenty-three of those years were with Wells Fargo, where he proudly served his clients in Forks Township and Allentown. He was deeply dedicated not only to his work, but also to the clients he helped, always striving to guide others toward a better future. A man with a passion for making the world a better place, Richard gave generously of his time and talents. He was active in community service throughout his life, serving as a proud member of The Barn in Allentown, a Past President of the Tatamy/Forks Township Lions Club, a past Board President of Safe Harbor and a past Board Member of College Hill Presbyterian Church. His faith, his commitment to service and his belief in lifting others up were the heart of who he was. Richard’s love for football was unmatched, especially anything connected to Selinsgrove High School and The University of Susquehanna. He was also a loyal Pittsburgh Steelers and Penn State fan. His enthusiasm, quirky humor and zest for life made him someone people naturally gravitated towards. He had a kind heart that touched countless lives. His friendships were among the great joys of his life, and his friends meant everything to him. While Richard enjoyed staying active and was known for his unwavering dedication to the gym, his favorite place in the world was home, cutting the grass, listening to music and spending time with his wife and his two beloved dogs, Hudson and Hagar. Nothing meant more to him than his family, and he was deeply devoted to his children and their futures.
