Pennsylvania State Police are investigating the theft of a musical instrument that occurred shortly before Christmas in upper Bucks County.
According to a news release from the Dublin barracks, the stolen instrument is a guitar that was purchased by a 48-year-old Riegelsville man for $1,100.
Police said a package that should have contained the guitar was delivered by UPS to the man’s home on Easton Road on the morning of Dec. 15.
However, “upon opening the package, it was found to be empty,” they said.
Police added that “the box appeared to (have been) retaped after being cut open.”
The news release did not indicate whether police have identified any suspects in the theft.
