Elizabeth Renninger (1932 – 2026)

Elizabeth Renninger, 93, of Hellertown, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Jan. 4, 2026, at Saucon Valley Manor, Hellertown. She was the wife of the late Thomas J. Renninger Sr., who died on March 26, 2002. Born in Center Valley on July 13, 1932, Elizabeth was the daughter of the late Stephen Kilian Sr. and Elizabeth (Stout) Kilian. Elizabeth was employed in food service at Moravian College, Bethlehem, where she worked for many years until her retirement. Previously, she worked at the former Bethlehem Steel. Elizabeth was a crossing guard for the borough of Hellertown for several years. She was a past member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church of Pleasant Valley. She found great joy in cooking and baking for her family and friends and was an avid reader who also enjoyed working on puzzles. She was known for her gardening, especially her tomato plants. Elizabeth will be remembered for her quiet strength, dedication to her family and the warmth she shared with those around her.

SURVIVORS

She is survived by her children, Karen E. (Daniel) Fattore of Douglassville, Thomas J. Renninger Jr. (Maryanne) of Westminster, Md., and Sandi E. (Randy) Werkheiser of Hellertown; her siblings, Jacob Kilian of Allentown, Robert Kilian (Barbara) of Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Ruth (Bill) Giunta of Florida; five grandchildren, Justin, Joshua, Marissa, Lorrie, Justine; seven great-grandchildren, Vienna, Della, Adalynn, Lillian, Madilyn, Caden, Harley. She was predeceased by her siblings, Carl, Gladys, Rosie, Stephen Jr., Joseph, Samuel, John, James, Betty, Mary and Dorothy.

SERVICES

Family and friends are invited to call from 12 to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2026, at the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 326 Main St., Hellertown. The calling hour will be followed by a service at 1 p.m. Interment will be at Union Cemetery of Hellertown.
