Alfred N. Crist Sr. (1937 – 2026)
Alfred N. Crist Sr., of Lower Saucon Township, passed peacefully into eternal rest on Sunday, Feb. 8, 2026, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Bethlehem, surrounded by the love and prayers of his family. He was the beloved husband of the late Elizabeth A. (Wilson) Crist, who preceded him in death on June 4, 2019. Their marriage was a true partnership—built on faith, devotion and a lifetime of shared memories. Born on Feb. 23, 1937, in Springfield Township, Alfred was the son of the late Oscar Sr. and Mary Edith Emma (Weaver) Crist. From an early age, he learned the values of hard work, honesty and service—values that would guide him throughout his life. Alfred was the proud owner and operator of Ossie & Sons Electric in Center Valley; a business he built with dedication and integrity. As a master electrician, he was known not only for his skill, but also for his fairness, reliability and the care he showed his customers and employees alike. He retired in 2005, leaving behind a respected name in the community and a legacy of craftsmanship. His leadership extended beyond his business. Alfred was a founding member and former president of the Electrical Contractors of the Lehigh Valley, where he helped shape the profession and mentor others in the trade. He was also a faithful member of Springfield Mennonite Church in Coopersburg, where his quiet faith and servant’s heart were evident to all. Alfred attended Allentown High School and carried with him a lifelong pride in learning, faith and community. Above all else, Alfred was a devoted family man. His greatest joy came from time spent with those he loved—sharing stories, offering guidance and always showing up when he was needed.
