Ronald P. Rutkowski (1946 – 2026)

Ronald P. Rutkowski, 79, of Lower Saucon Township, passed away peacefully at his residence on Sunday, Feb. 8, 2026. He was the beloved husband of the late Irene (Reccek) Slotter Rutkowski, with whom he shared many years of love and companionship. Ronald was born in Bethlehem on Sept. 11, 1946, to the late Joseph Rutkowski Sr. and Anna F. (Surowitz) Rutkowski. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War; a commitment that reflected his strong sense of duty and patriotism. For many years, Ronald worked as a mechanic and heavy machine operator at Stabler Arena, where he was known for his strong work ethic, mechanical skill and reliability. He took pride in his work and in the people he worked alongside. A longtime member of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Miller Heights, Bethlehem, Ronald found strength in his faith. In his free time, he loved hunting, fishing and spending time in the mountains, where he found peace and joy in nature. Ronald enjoyed weekend flea markets and auctions.
SURVIVORS
Ronald is survived by his loving niece, Marlene M. Witcoskie of Bethlehem Township; and his nephew, David J. Witcoskie of Bethlehem Township. He was predeceased by his sister, Joanne A. (Albert) Witcoskie; his brothers, Buddy and Richard Rutkowski; and by his nephew, Michael.
