Kristy C. Swope, 51, of Hellertown, passed away on Friday, Feb. 20, 2026, at St. Luke’s Hospital-Bethlehem Campus. She was the beloved wife of Melissa E. Eberts, with whom she shared and celebrated 28 wonderful years of life together–a partnership marked by devotion, laughter and unwavering support. Born in Easton on Sept. 29, 1974, Kristy was the cherished daughter of Robert Swope and Sandra (Patterson) Swope of Phillipsburg, N.J. A 1992 graduate of Phillipsburg High School, she went on to build a meaningful and successful career in the technology field. Kristy served as a Technical Services Lead for a software company, where her intelligence, patience and problem-solving skills earned the respect of colleagues and clients alike. She approached her work with the same integrity and dedication that defined her life. Kristy found joy and renewal in the outdoors. An avid runner and cyclist, she embraced the challenge of the open road and the quiet beauty of wooded trails. She enjoyed hiking, often seeking new paths to explore, and found comfort in reading, always eager to learn and grow. Whether immersed in a good book or enjoying the rhythm of a long run, Kristy valued both reflection and perseverance.

SURVIVORS

In addition to her wife and parents, Kristy is survived by her brother, Matthew Swope of Easton, along with extended family members and dear friends who will forever hold her memory close.
