SPRING BREAK: All SLSD schools will be closed from Thursday, April 2 through Monday, April 6. Students will also have the day off on Friday, May 1, which will be a Professional Learning Day.
2026-27 SLSD CALENDAR: The calendar for the next school year is now available at Slsd.org.
FULL DAY KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION NOW OPEN: Visit Slsd.org and click on Teaching & Learning, then Full Day Kindergarten, for the registration link.
PMEA COMPETITION: Congrats to the musically talented SLMS students who attended the PMEA Solo & Ensemble competition.
SLMS SPRING SEMI-FORMAL DANCE: The dance will be held Friday, April 10, from 6 to 8 p.m.
FEEDING THE VALLEY: “Feeding the Valley,” a new club created by SLHS students, has the goal of fighting food insecurity in the Lehigh Valley, where many families are struggling to put food on their tables now more than ever. Students use monetary donations to buy ingredients to make healthy meals for those in need. Please consider donating online to support the cause.
SLSD IS HIRING: Visit the district’s jobs portal to view current openings.
MEETINGS: The school board Policy Committee Meeting will be held Monday, April 13 from 3 to 5 p.m. in the SL Administration Building Conference Room. School board meetings will be held Monday, April 13 and Monday, April 27 from 6:30 to 9 p.m. in the SLHS Media Center.
