Pop-up Voter Services Event Planned in Lower Saucon

Saucon Valley area registered voters who want to complete a ballot on demand will have an opportunity to do that at an upcoming pop-up voter services event in Lower Saucon Township.

Planned for Friday, May 8, 2026 from 9 a.m. to noon, the event will be hosted by the Northampton County Elections Office and held at Lower Saucon Town Hall, 3700 Old Philadelphia Pike, Bethlehem, PA 18015.

The primary election in Pennsylvania is Tuesday, May 19, when polls statewide will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

According to a news release, the purpose of the Lower Saucon and other voter services pop-up events county officials have planned is to “expand access for voters facing transportation or scheduling barriers, increase community engagement and also reduce congestion at the Elections Office and permanent drop box locations.”

Other tasks voters can complete include applying for a mail-in or absentee ballot or securely returning their ballot.

“All ballots issued and returned through these events will be handled in the same manner as standard absentee and mail-in ballots and will not be opened or counted until Election Day, consistent with Pennsylvania law,” the release said. “Events at each location will be staffed by the County’s trained Elections Division personnel. All ballot handling will follow existing chain-of-custody procedures.”

The deadline to register to vote in the May 19 primary is Monday, May 4. An online voter registration application is available here. Registered PA voters can find their polling location here.

A list of Northampton County’s seven ballot drop box locations and their hours of operation may be found on the county website.

Pennsylvania has closed primary elections, which means only registered Republicans and Democrats may vote in them.
