Vehicle Window Broken in Highway Incident, Police Say

State Police at Belfast say a 51-year-old Easton man’s vehicle was damaged during an incident involving another vehicle on I-78 east in Lower Saucon Township, Northampton County, last month.

According to a May 25 news release, the damage–which police characterized as criminal mischief–occurred as the man was driving near mile marker 64 at around 4 p.m. April 8.

Police said the two vehicles involved were a white work van and a black Jeep Cherokee, which “began to maneuver around each other while in traffic.”

“The white work van was observed on camera making erratic movements on and off the shoulders of the roadway,” the news release indicated.

Police said that the damage that occurred to a passenger side window of the van was estimated at $500, but did not explain how it may have been broken.
