Judith A. Slocum (1944 – 2026)

Judith A. “Judy” Slocum, 81, of Bethlehem, Pa., passed away peacefully on Monday, June 8, 2026, at Kirkland Village. Born in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., on Oct. 23, 1944, Judy was the daughter of the late Ralph David and Bertha (Thomas) Williams. A dedicated educator, Judy spent her career teaching at a school for disabled children, leaving a lasting legacy of patience, kindness and devotion to her students. She previously resided in Green Village, N.J., and Lower Saucon Township before moving to Bethlehem. Judy was a faithful and active member of the First United Church of Christ in Hellertown.
SURVIVORS
Judyās legacy lives on through her loving family; children: Gregg Yale (Anita) of Jeffersonville, Stephanie A. (Eric) Slocum-Schaffer of Knoxville, Md., Daryl B. (Anne-Lise) of Rehoboth, Mass., Brian C. (Abby) of Bethlehem; sister: Roberta J. Anderson of Harrisburg; 10 beloved grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
SERVICES
Family and friends are invited to gather for her memorial services on Tuesday, June 30, 2026 at 11 a.m. at First United Church of Christ, 501 Northampton St., Hellertown, PA 18055. Private interment will be at Memorial Shrine Park in Wyoming, Pa.Ā Family services are under the care of the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., Hellertown.
