Nicholas Cuttic (1937 – 2026)

Nicholas Cuttic, 89, of Williams Township, Northampton County, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, June 15, 2026. He was the devoted husband of Dorothy Ann (Prayner) Cuttic, with whom he shared 63 beautiful years of marriage, having wed in August 1962. Born in Frackville on March 21, 1937, Nicholas was the son of the late Wassil and Mary (Fulcilla) Cuttic. He was a proud graduate of both Moravian University and Lehigh University. Nicholas was inducted into both the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame and the Moravian College Athletic Hall of Fame in recognition of his exceptional athletic achievements. Dedicated to education, Nicholas spent his career shaping young minds as a chemistry teacher for the Bethlehem Area School District at Freedom High School until his retirement. Outside of the classroom, he had a lifelong passion for sports and was a faithful member of St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Roman Catholic Church in Hellertown.
SURVIVORS
In addition to his loving wife, Dorothy Ann, he is survived by his four children: Marianne Cuttic of Palos Verdes, Calif., Andrew Cuttic and his wife, Amy, of Easton, Suzanne Shenk of Evergreen, Colo., Joanne Cardone and her husband, Richard, of Bullhead City, Az.; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Nicholas was predeceased by his 12 siblings.
SERVICES
Family and friends are invited to call from 10 to 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Roman Catholic Church, 1408 Easton Road, Hellertown. The calling hour will be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Interment will be at St. Joseph’s New Cemetery, Easton.Ā Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., Hellertown.
