William H. Buck Jr. (1939 – 2026)

William H. Buck Jr., 86, of Lower Saucon Township, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, June 24, 2026. He was the loving husband of the late Diane M. (Houck) Buck, with whom he shared many wonderful years until her passing on Nov. 9, 2023. Born in Allentown on July 18, 1939, William was the son of the late William H. Buck Sr. and Anna (Dougherty) Buck. He proudly and faithfully served our country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. Following his military service, William went to work as a dedicated laborer for Bethlehem Steel, retiring after many years of hard work. An avid bowler, William was a fixture in local leagues and always enjoyed the camaraderie of the game. Above all, he was a true people person who loved nothing more than to socialize, laugh and just “bullshit” with friends and family. His quick wit, stories and warm presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his loving children: Melissa Rader of Hellertown, Shelby Henn of Hellertown, Michael Buck and his wife Colleen of Pine Grove, Scott Buck and his wife Debbie of Blandon, Shannan Rigney and her husband George of York.
