Gerald J. ‘Jerry’ Reilly Jr. (1944 – 2026)

Gerald J. “Jerry” Reilly Jr., 81, of Millsboro, Del., and formerly of Lower Saucon Township, Pa., passed away peacefully at his residence on Monday, June 29, 2026. He was the beloved husband of Jean E. (Raab) Reilly, with whom he shared 57 wonderful years of marriage. Born in Bethlehem, Pa., on Aug. 10, 1944, Gerald was the son of the late Gerald J. Sr. and Jeanette (Scholl) Reilly. He grew up in the area, graduating from Central High School in Allentown before attending Lehigh University. Gerald proudly and faithfully served our country in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. A man of diverse talents and a strong work ethic, Gerald had a successful career as an IT Manager for both US Gauge and Godiva Chocolatier. Deeply rooted in his community, he was also the proud owner and operator of Reilly’s Woodlawn Nursery in Lower Saucon Township. Most importantly, Jerry was passionate about his sobriety and helping others in their recovery.

SURVIVORS

In addition to his loving wife, Jean, he is survived by their children: John P. Reilly (Kristen) of Salisbury, Md.; Kristen J. Laub of Germansville, Pa.; and Brendan M. Reilly (Sheeva) of Wayne, Pa.; grandchildren: Abby, Jack, Aiden, Brigid, Luke, Lexi, Kendall, Khloe Reilly and Rhys Laub; brother: James Reilly (Fran) of Lafayette Hill, Pa.; feline friends: Reds and Maddie.

SERVICES

Family and friends are invited to a visitation period from 3 to 4 p.m. on Friday, July 10, 2026 at the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 326 Main St., Hellertown, PA. Interment will be at the Union Cemetery of Hellertown. Online expressions of sympathy can be shared at Heintzelmancares.com.
