Hundreds of Saucon Valley residents took advantage of fantastic weather to have fun at the National Night Out events held in Hellertown borough and Lower Saucon Township Tuesday. An annual event hosted by police departments around the country, National Night Out helps bring communities together with the law enforcement personnel who protect and serve them all year round in a relaxed environment.

Hellertown Police Department’s event was held in Dimmick Park and featured a dunk tank, costumed characters, a DJ, bounce houses, hot dogs and other food, vendors, face painting, basket raffles, games, activities, pony rides, equipment displays and more. Lower Saucon Township Police Department’s event was held in Town Hall Park and featured touch-a-truck, a DJ, games, food, raffles, K-9 demonstrations with Titus and Boomer, a tug-of-war, a water balloon battle, face painting, kiddie rides, a photo booth, a Moon Bounce and much more.

Both events were presented by the police departments with support from numerous local businesses that helped sponsor them.
