Community Day in Hellertown is planned for this Saturday, Aug. 15, and if the current weather forecast is correct, it’s going to be a beautiful day for residents to come together in Dimmick Park in celebration of everything that makes Saucon Valley special.

The day will begin with an opening ceremony at 9:45 a.m. Vendor and exhibit booths will be open from 10 to 3 p.m., and there will be a performance by the local band Triple Dog Dare from noon to 3 p.m. at the bandshell.

Dozens of local busineses and nonprofits will be set up as vendors at booths around the park, many offering giveaways and hosting raffles.

Delicious food is always a highlight of the day, with DiMaio’s–a Hellertown eatery known for its pizza–selling their Italian fare in the pavilion. Other Community Day vendors will be selling everything from cabbage and noodles to ice cream.
