Margaret A. Sterner (1949 – 2026)

Sterner, Margaret

Margaret A. Sterner, 77, affectionately known to many as “Aunt Maggie,” of Northampton, passed away peacefully on Friday, Aug. 21, 2026, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg, Bethlehem. Born in Allentown on May 7, 1949, she was the beloved daughter of the late Robert F. and Esther L. (Shankweiler) Sterner. Margaret spent her career as an assembler in packaging, working with LifePath, APS and Via of the Lehigh Valley, where her dedication and steady work ethic were greatly valued. Above all else, family was number one in Margaret’s life. She cherished time spent with those she loved, accompanied by simple pleasures: the company of dogs, a hot cup of coffee, searching for treasures at the dollar store, eating out at restaurants and enjoying a competitive game of bingo. Her warmth, humor and gentle presence will be deeply missed.
