Joanne F. Robbins (1961 – 2026)

Joanne F. Robbins, 64, originally of Bloomsburg, Pa., passed away on Sept. 10, 2026, at St. Luke’s Hospice House in Lower Saucon Township, Bethlehem, Pa. Born on Dec. 23, 1961, Joanne was the daughter of Arden Robbins and Ruth Robbins. She graduated from Central High School and went on to become a certified therapeutic massage therapist, dedicating nearly 40 years of her life to helping and healing others. In February 1990, Joanne founded Saucon Valley Massage Therapy. For more than 36 years, she served as its owner and operator while raising her two children. Through her extraordinary gift of intuitive massage therapy, Joanne helped thousands of people and trained hundreds of massage therapists throughout her career. Joanne discovered her gift as a young girl while massaging the horses on her family’s farm in Bloomsburg. That natural ability eventually led her to work with people from every walk of life, including members of the Philadelphia Eagles from 2000 through 2012, Hall of Fame athletes, musicians and actors. Regardless of who entered her treatment room, Joanne cared for each person with the same compassion, intuition and dedication. If one word could describe Joanne, it would be resilience. She faced adversity time and time again, yet she continued showing up for her family, her clients and her community while providing exceptional care for nearly four decades. Joanne was a fun-loving and deeply spiritual woman. She was a member of New Jerusalem Church in Hellertown and grew up as a longtime member of Canby Lutheran Church in Bloomsburg. She loved hiking, spending time outdoors, visiting the beach and being with her beloved dog, Rudy. Joanne devoted her life to relieving the pain of others and helping people feel whole again. Her healing hands, generous spirit, laughter, strength and unwavering resilience will never be forgotten.
