Thomas R. Cahill Sr. (1937 – 2026)

Thomas R. Cahill Sr., 89, of Lower Saucon Township, Northampton County, passed away Friday, Sept. 18, 2026, at The David A. Miller Personal Care Community in Allentown. He was the loving husband of Doris K. (Osterstock) Cahill, with whom he shared 64 years of marriage. Born June 28, 1937, in Phillipsburg, N.J., he was the son of the late Paul R. and Eva (Dingler) Cahill. Thomas was employed as a machinist with Bell & Howell in Allentown for 36 years, retiring from the company after a long career in the mailing and inserting business. He enjoyed working on cars and was known for his mechanical abilities. He also had a strong interest in college sports, particularly Ohio State athletics.

SURVIVORS

In addition to his wife, Doris, he is survived by his children, Donna Peters of Fredericksburg, Texas; Debra Cahill of Bethlehem; and Thomas Cahill Jr. of Waterloo, Ind.; and his grandson, Trey. He was predeceased by his brother, Craig.
