Pauline M. Rizzo (1932 – 2026)

Pauline M. Rizzo, age 93, of Kintnersville, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2026, at St. Luke’s University Hospital. She was born on Nov. 30, 1932, in San Bernardino, Calif., to the late Andrew and Katherine C. (Mattes) Stefany. Pauline shared 64 years of marriage with the love of her life, Theodore E. Rizzo. The couple were married on June 26, 1953, and remained devoted to one another until Theodore’s passing in 2017. Their 64 years together were filled with love, companionship and the many experiences and memories they created throughout their life together. Pauline was a member of Palisades Community Bible Church, where her faith was an important part of her life. She appreciated the beauty and peacefulness of the world around her and had a special love for nature and the outdoors. She could often be found enjoying a walk or hike, taking in the scenery and fresh air, or spending time watching the birds that visited her yard. Feeding the birds was a favorite pastime, and she took pleasure in observing the different birds and their daily routines. Pauline also had a wonderful appreciation for music and the simple pleasures of home. She especially enjoyed listening to polka music, with the Oomphasters being one of her favorite polka bands. Music brought her happiness and was something she enjoyed sharing with others. She also loved watching old classic movies, finding comfort and enjoyment in the familiar stories and characters of years gone by. When it came to games and time spent with others, Pauline enjoyed a good card game. Skip-Bo was a particular favorite, and she enjoyed the fun, laughter and friendly competition that came with sitting down for a game. These everyday activities reflected Pauline’s warm appreciation for life’s simple pleasures and the importance she placed on enjoying each day. Pauline will be remembered for her love of nature, music, classic movies and games, as well as for the many quiet and meaningful moments she shared with those around her. Her genuine appreciation for the little things in life left a lasting impression on those who knew her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her family, friends and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

SURVIVORS

Survivors include three children, Phillip E. Rizzo and wife, Melinda, of Quakertown, Theodore A. Rizzo and wife, Vickymarie, of Robesonia, and Julia M. Briggs and husband, Brent, of Kintnersville; two siblings, Christine Runyon and David Stefany, both of Idaho; seven grandchildren, Samantha, Teddy, Freddy, Adam, Joshua (Emily), Jacob, Valerie (Kyle); and two great-grandchildren, Skylar and Chloe, with another on the way. She was predeceased by her husband, Theodore; and two siblings, William Stefany and Elaine Knapp.

SERVICES

Family and friends are invited to her visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, 2026, at the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 326 Main St., Hellertown.
