A current breakfast special at Gigi & Alex Restaurant in Hellertown is a stuffed Pumpkin Cheesecake pancake. The restaurant recently opened at 605 Main Street, in the borough’s downtown, and is receiving good reviews for its extensive breakfast, lunch and dinner menus.

A new restaurant in Hellertown is already winning praise from customers for the quality of its food, its service and its attention to detail.

Family-owned Gigi & Alex opened earlier this month at 605 Main St., which was previously home to the sports bar Wings on Main. A grand opening ceremony with a ribbon-cutting was held Sept. 14, with Hellertown Mayor David Heintzelman and other local officials in attendance.

Named after the owners’ two children–who are involved in running the business–the cozy eatery features an expansive menu of freshly-prepared American favorites, Mexican dishes and classic comfort foods. The lunch and dinner menu includes a dozen different appetizers, soups, salads, hot sandwiches, club sandwiches, pasta dishes, burgers, wings, tacos, flautas, quesadillas, seafood and other entrees, desserts and more. The breakfast menu includes pancakes, waffles, French toast, eggs, home fries, omelets, avocado toast, grits and many other choices. The restaurant also offers specials, like a stuffed Pumpkin Cheesecake pancake special that is currently being promoted.
