According to police, Mario Acevedo, 18, of Colonial Heritage Park, was eastbound shortly after 10 p.m. Nov. 23 “when he lost control of his vehicle.”

Police said Acevedo struck a utility pole head-on, breaking a section out of it.

Acevedo’s vehicle then rolled onto its side and came to rest “right side up off the edge of the roadway,” the news release said.
