Walter Leonard Jones Sr., 85, of Palmer Township, died Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at his daughter’s residence. He was the husband of Betty C. (Creamer) Jones.

Walter Leonard Jones Sr., 85, of Palmer Township, died Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at his daughter’s residence. He was the husband of Betty C. (Creamer) Jones. Walter was born in Norristown on Nov. 23, 1931 to the late Thomas and Florence (Mann) Jones. Walt worked as the Maintenance Supervisor at the Abington Friends School for many years until retiring. Prior to that he worked at the Chempump, Warminster, as the Maintenance Supervisor. He was a member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Allentown.

SURVIVORS

In addition to his wife of 59 years; children: E. Wayne Presley of Newtown, Bonnie Ann (Douglas) Seipt of Williams Township and Walter L. (Marie M.) Jones Jr. of Westminster, Md.; siblings: Thomas Jr. (Bert) of New Jersey, William of Texas, Robert (Marilyn) of Washington state, Paul of North Wales, Charles (Jane) of Florida, Doris (William) Shirk of Maine, Pauline Marinari of Norristown; eight grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother: Alan.

SERVICE

Family and friends are invited to call from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 2140 W. Tilghman St., Allentown. The calling hour will be followed by a service at 11 a.m. The interment will be held privately. Online expressions of sympathy can be recorded at www.heintzelmancares.com.
