Lower Saucon Township Police say a Bethlehem man who allegedly caused a three-car accident on Rt. 378 South in the township has been charged with careless driving.

In a news release issued Saturday, police said David Williams, 51, of the 100 block of Valley Park South, was southbound shortly after 5 p.m. Friday when he rear-ended another car driven by a 20-year-old Coopersburg man.

The impact of the initial collision pushed the Coopersburg man’s car into a vehicle operated by a 62-year-old Lower Saucon Township woman, police said.

No injuries were reported or observed, but one of the cars had to be towed from the scene of the accident, police said.
