Julia (Tegyi) Yerk, 92, of Springfield (OBITUARY)

Julia (Tegyi) Yerk, 92, Springfield Township, died Saturday, March 28, 2015 at the VNA Hospice of St. Luke’s, Lower Saucon Township. She was the widow of Delbert G. Yerk (died June 9, 1993). She was born in Allentown on Oct. 13, 1922 to the late Joseph and Mary (Labo) Tegyi. Julia was a seamstress at the former A.F. Neilson Mfg., Allentown, and various other textile companies. She was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church (Springfield Township), Coopersburg.

SURVIVORS

Loving children: Richard A., Janice S. wife of Joseph Hein, all of Coopersburg; grandchildren: Nicholas Yerk, Megan Hein, Daniel Yerk. She was predeceased by siblings: John, Joseph, Andrew, Michael, Stephen, Mary Mumbauer.

SERVICE

Family and friends are invited to call from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2170 Route 212, Coopersburg (Pleasant Valley). The calling hour will be followed by the service at 11 a.m. The interment will conclude services at Union Cemetery of Hellertown.
