Old Bomb Found in Richland Twp., Police Say

There were likely some tense moments in Richland Township late Friday morning after a contractor remodeling a property on Hickon Road discovered a bomb in the basement. Thanks to the actions of first responders–including the Allentown Bomb Squad–no one was injured by the device, which authorities said they believe to be World War I era training ordnance.

After police and the bomb squad were dispatched, the bomb squad safely removed the vintage explosive device from the property, according to an update shared by Richland Township Police.
