Don’t Forget to ‘Fall Back’ This Weekend

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

With Halloween fun on the horizon, it could be easy to forget that something else big is happening this weekend.

On Sunday, Nov. 2, at 2 a.m., we will gain an extra hour when daylight saving time ends. That means that any analog clocks will need to be moved back an hour at that time or before you go to bed on Saturday night.

The effect of the changeover to standard time is that the sun will rise an hour earlier beginning Sunday. The downside of the switch is that it will also set an hour earlier, so it will be completely dark by around 6 p.m.

The good news for trick-or-treaters is that they’ll still have the extra daylight on Friday when they scramble to knock on as many doors as possible.
