John Joseph Tesoriero (1950 – 2025)

Tesoriero

John Joseph Tesoriero, 75, of Whitehall Township, Lehigh County, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 22, 2025, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg with loved ones by his side. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., on June 27, 1950, he was the son of the late Andrew and Caterina Tesoriero; immigrants from the tiny Italian island of Panarea. One of four children, John grew up in a tight-knit family with many relatives living nearby in Carroll Gardens and sharing summers in Bayville, Long Island. After graduating from Bishop Ford Catholic High School in Brooklyn, John earned a bachelor’s degree from Pace University and obtained his license as a Certified Public Accountant from the State of New York. He then went on to build a long and successful career as a Finance and Marketing Executive at American Express, earning the friendship and respect of colleagues and clients throughout his many years of service. A member of Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church in Egypt, Pa., John lived his faith quietly and sincerely. He was, above all, a family man–deeply committed to the happiness and well-being of his children and grandchildren. He found joy in cheering for the NY Mets and Jets, searching for bargains while shopping and spending meaningful time with those he loved most, including the family’s fur babies. An avid Beatles fan, he loved 60’s music, trivia and beating everyone at UNO. Known to be a “character,” his quick wit and lovable, sarcastic charm endeared him to everyone he knew; even those he met in passing. Most notably, John will be remembered for his huge heart and immense generosity.

He is survived by his partner, Sandra J. Davis of Bethlehem, Pa.; his four children: Julia T. (Ivan) Hodge of McLean, Va., Vanessa L. Tesoriero of Washington, D.C., Jessica M. (Faith) Tesoriero of Lake Oswego, Ore.; his brother, Peter (Maria) Tesoriero of Staten Island, N.Y.; and his beloved grandchildren, Lily, Cara, Everett and Mia.
