Edward D. Ritter (1946 – 2025)

Edward D. Ritter, 78, of Hellertown, passed away Monday, Dec. 29, 2025, at his residence. Born in Bethlehem on Dec. 30, 1946, he was the son of the late Edward V. Ritter and Josephine M. (Bitting) Ritter. Edward was married to his beloved wife, Deborah A. (Searfass) Ritter, with whom he shared 34 loving years of marriage. Edward was employed as a store manager with Weis Markets for many years until his retirement. He was a dedicated member of the community and proudly served as past president of the Dewey Fire Company. He was also deeply involved with the Dewey Fire Company Ambulance Corps, where he devoted much of his time and service to helping others. In his free time, Edward enjoyed hunting, fishing, and restoring and admiring old cars.

SURVIVORS

Surviving, in addition to his wife Deborah, are his son, Edward J. Ritter and his wife Melissa; and his cherished grandson, Isaac Ritter.
