‘Taste of Hellertown’ Passport Trail Returns Oct. 24
A fun way to sample food and drink from many of the Saucon Valley area’s best-known restaurants is returning Saturday, Oct. 24.
The Hellertown-Lower Saucon Chamber of Commerce’s third annual Taste of Hellertown Area Passport Trail will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and feature over a dozen stops at eateries, retailers and service businesses in Hellertown borough and Lower Saucon Township.
As of Oct. 8, participants in the trail included Nick and Noah’s, Lost Tavern Brewing, BSocial, PA Treasures 4 U, Saucon Valley Dental, Drip Flavor Lab, Braveheart Highland Pub, DiMaio’s, La Maya, LovelyyFaces Spa Lounge, Yianni’s Taverna, Cross Pizza and Get Joy Ice Cream & Coffee. A news release from the chamber noted that “additional businesses are expected to join the trail.”
While the event is taking place, passport holders will be able to enjoy a bite, a beverage or an experience at each stop along the trail and potentially discover dining and shopping destinations they may not have known about, as well as meet local business owners and makers.
“The Taste of Hellertown Area Passport Trail is really about getting people out into the community and giving them a reason to discover something new”, said Caitlin Hamlin Myers, AVP of the Hellertown Lower Saucon Chamber. “Whether it’s a favorite restaurant, a local shop or a business they’ve never visited before, we want people to experience all that Hellertown and Lower Saucon have to offer while supporting the businesses that make our area special.”
“Events like the Taste of Hellertown Area Passport Trail are a great way to bring our community together while shining a spotlight on the incredible variety of businesses we have throughout Hellertown and Lower Saucon,” added Jessica O’Donnell-Gower, Executive Vice President of Chambers of Commerce at the GLVCC. “We’re excited to see this event continue to grow and encourage everyone to grab a passport, bring a friend and spend the afternoon supporting local.”
Passports are available at a discounted price of $30 through Oct. 12, according to a chamber news release. The regular passport price is $35 (or $60 for two passports). Passports must be purchased via the Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce website.
