Celebrate the apple and its place in the area’s history at the Lower Saucon Township Historical Society’s AppleFest at the Lutz-Franklin Schoolhouse. The event will feature apple desserts and baked goods for sale, food and drink for purchase, apple tasting, live music, games and tours of the historic school.

The Lutz-Franklin Schoolhouse on Countryside Lane in Lower Saucon Township provides the backdrop for the township historical society’s annual Apple Festival. Built in 1880 and restored by LSTHS volunteers, the school is maintained as a local museum. (FILE PHOTO)
