Bethlehem Vintage & Harvest Market

A brand-new Bethlehem event will feature thousands of vintage items and collectibles along with a DJ spinning vintage vinyl, crafts, family activities and food vendors. Historic Bethlehem Museums & Sites (HBMS) will host the new Bethlehem Vintage & Harvest Market on Saturday, Sept. 19, at Historic Burnside, 1461 Schoenersville Road in Bethlehem. Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and tickets are on sale now at HistoricBethlehem.org. HBMS is partnering with the Bethlehem Vintage Market to put on the Vintage & Harvest Market.

The new Vintage & Harvest Market will feature more than 75 vintage vendors from throughout the Mid-Atlantic Region highlighting collectibles, antiques, heirlooms and unique finds. Attendees can stroll the aisles exploring racks of vintage clothing, crates of vinyl records, booths featuring mid-century furniture and much more. Vendors already confirmed to attend include Jen Thunderhorse Jewelry of Philadelphia, which offers Southwest silver, costume pieces and deadstock biker accessories; Created by Corinne, which turns naturally preserved plants and blooms into wearable art; and Neverending Glassworks, which is known for its stained-glass pieces.

In addition to browsing thousands of collectibles, clothing items and treasures from the past, bargain hunters and their families will enjoy a wide variety of historical activities and living history demonstrations. These include 18th-century toys and games, open-hearth cooking demonstrations, quill pen writing, blacksmithing and tours of the historic Burnside farmhouse, barns, summer kitchen and award-winning gardens. Children will enjoy the History Maker’s Pass that allows them to create and take home a hand-dipped beeswax candle, candle holder and cornhusk doll. They can also decorate their own birdhouse and try the popular Artifact Challenge, where they match items from the past with their correct names.

The Vintage & Harvest Market will also offer more than a dozen autumn-inspired desserts, including apple and pumpkin pie, cider donuts, cranberry orange scones, pumpkin spice ice cream and molasses sugar cookies. Desserts can be purchased from the dessert barn to enjoy at the event or take home; individuals who can’t attend the Vintage & Harvest Market but want to support HBMS can also order their favorites in advance and pick them up at the Market to Go at Historic Burnside on Friday, Sept. 18, from 4 to 7 p.m.

Several food trucks will be on site serving up everything from Mexican cuisine to mango sticky rice. Taste Budz, the eatery behind the blueberry grilled cheese everyone lines up for at HBMS’s Blueberry Festival, will be at the event with apple and pumpkin delights.

The fall theme will extend to the Apple Barrel Tavern, where guests ages 21 and older can purchase their favorite beverages, including local craft brews and ciders, as well as cocktails from Christmas City Spirits. A Tavern Pass, which includes admission to the market and five tastings, can be purchased in advance for only $18 ($20 the day of the event).
