Salsa Fest at the Saucon Valley Farmers Market

This Sunday is SVFM’s SECOND ANNUAL SALSA FEST at the market! This event will highlight local salsa ingredients, like tomatoes and peppers, and will feature a salsa judging contest featuring recipes from some of our own market vendors. There will also be a salsa-themed raffle and FREE salsa dancing lessons by Lehigh Valley Salsa Social.

 9am – 12pm Salsa Tasting Contest

The market is pleased to welcome the following vendors and each of their unique salsa recipes for you to taste and then cast your vote for the winning recipe!

Epic Acre Farm

Customers can gain entrance to the Tasting Tent by either purchasing a $5 tasting ticket or bringing a donation to Hellertown-Lower Saucon Blessing Boxes. Any donation item from this list will be accepted, but organizers are specifically looking for the following items to be donated and will have a collection box outside the tasting tent:

• cereal

• pouch tuna or other such proteins

• toilet paper

• paper towels

• boxed milk

• any snack items (salty and sweet)

• gift cards to Giant, Dollar General and Dollar Tree

10-11am Salsa Dancing Lessons with Ines Maldonado of Lehigh Valley Salsa Social. Bring your dancing shoes and a willingness to try something new!

 9am-12pm Salsa-Themed Raffle Prizes

Tickets will be available to purchase at the Info Tent. Winners will be drawn at noon and notified immediately thereafter.
