Kids Winter Coat Drive Continues at Salon Mia in Hellertown

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Hellertown salon owner Maria Makkas wants to help kids stay warm this winter, so she’s continuing a coat drive begun earlier this fall to help Saucon Valley kids from families in need.

Makkas said she recently delivered a number of donated coats to the Saucon Valley School District, and was pleased to learn later that the needs of their students have now been met.

However, other kids in the area are still in need of a warm winter coat, which is why she’s decided to continue the drive to benefit Bethlehem area schoolchildren.

New or gently-used children’s coats can be dropped off at Salon Mia at 401 Main St., Hellertown, during regular business hours.
